Admin: Clinical Studies

Page Description

Use the Clinical Studies page to create clinical study records that you may then link to order choices on the Order Choices administration page. Note that an order choice can only be associated with a single clinical study.

Viewing the Clinical Studies List
  1. The Clinical Studies page contains a list of up to ten clinical studies. If the list is longer than one page, use the Page links, located below the list of studies, to navigate through the list.
  2. To view active clinical studies only, select the Show active only checkbox at the top of the Clinical Studies page. You set the inactive/active status in the Clinical Study Details section of the Clinical Studies details page. See "Adding or Editing Clinical Study Details" below.
  3. If you cannot find the desired clinical studies, click the Add button to add a study. See "Adding or Editing Clinical Study Details" below.
  4. Click the clinical study on the Clinical Studies list page to view or edit study information on the Clinical Study details page. See "Adding or Editing Clinical Study Details" below.

Adding or Editing Clinical Study Details

  1. Use the Clinical Study Details section of the Clinical Studies details page to add or edit a study.
  2. Enter the name of the study in the Clinical Study field. This field is required.
  3. Enter an abbreviation for the study in the Abbreviation field, if desired.
  4. Enter the Start Date and End Date for the study in the format MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM AM/PM. Select a date from the calendar view by clicking the calendar icon located next to the date fields. Click Now to enter the current date and time. Click Clear to clear the date and time fields.
  5. Select the Active checkbox to enable users to select the study while entering an order choice. Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the study. If the clinical study is inactive, Copia clears it from the Clinical Studies list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Clinical Studies List" above.
  6. Click the Change Log button to view the change log for the selected clinical study. See the Admin: Change Log topic. Note that you must have the necessary security right to access the Change Log page.
  7. Click < Back to List to return to the Clinical Studies list page without saving any changes.
  8. Click Save to record changes and return to the Clinical Studies list page.
